Experts warn users to delete certain apps.

Amsterdam: Experts have warned Android users of a malware-infected app that is impersonating platforms like Google Chrome. 

This malware targets users' bank accounts and is capable of accessing their highly confidential information. 

The company previously identified Onto, a dangerous banking Trojan in April 2022. This malware has changed a lot since then.

The Onto 2's mechanism is quite advanced from past versions which makes it more difficult to identify.  

Using this app, hackers can remotely lock and mute the device's screen, as well as send malware-laden messages to contacts while launching any app.

This malware has the dangerous ability to infiltrate users' SMMs, which means any code received can be obtained by hackers.
