According to foreign media reports, Portugal will issue a currency coin in honor of 5-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. Portugal is to issue a '7 Euro' coin in recognition of its greatest footballer Ronaldo's outstanding services on the field of play.
According to reports, this special coin will have Ronaldo's photo and his name and shirt number 'CR7' embossed on it. The special feature of this coin is that this coin with Ronaldo's name will be accepted as currency across the country. It should be noted that Cristiano Ronaldo recently became the first footballer in the world to score 900 goals in his professional career.
Ronaldo scored 131 goals (most international goals by any player) while playing for Portugal. In terms of club competitions, Ronaldo, a 5-time Ballon d'Or winner, scored 145 goals for Manchester United, 450 goals for Real Madrid and 101 goals for Juventus.
