Israel again attacks UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon.

Beirut: Israel has again targeted the UNIFIL peacekeeping force post on the Lebanese border, injuring two personnel.

According to foreign media, since the beginning of ground operations in Lebanon, the Israeli army has carried out continuous attacks, and the UN peacekeeping force has also been attacked. In an attack this morning, Israel again targeted the observation tower of a UN peacekeeping force on the Lebanon-Israel border, wounding two Sri Lankan peacekeepers and damaging the observation tower.

According to foreign media, two Indonesian peacekeepers were injured in the Israeli attack yesterday, while in this sense UNIFIL said that Israel deliberately targeted the peacekeepers. In response to the attacks on UNIFIL personnel yesterday, the Israeli military said that Hezbollah was carrying out attacks from areas near the civilian population and peacekeeping bases, while Israel informed UNIFIL earlier to open fire and attack.

He had left and was ordered to stay in a safe place. Israel's ambassador to the United Nations said the peacekeepers were asked to stay in safe places. On the other hand, after the Israeli attacks, there was a strong reaction from the countries involved in the peacekeeping force, and Indonesia, Italy, France and Spain condemned the Israeli action, while the United States has also expressed concern.

It should be noted that UNIFIL is a UN peacekeeping force that was established to maintain peace in Lebanon after the withdrawal of Israel from Lebanon in 1978 and is still present in Lebanon today.
