Protests in favor of Palestine, Microsoft lays off employees.

Microsoft fired 2 employees for protests in support of Palestine.

According to Indian media, two employees staged a silent protest in front of the Microsoft headquarters against the Israeli attacks, after the company shot them.

Employees displayed placards in front of Microsoft headquarters. The posters carried slogans against the sale of Microsoft's cloud computing technology to Israel. Microsoft said on Friday that it had "terminated multiple people in accordance with internal policy," but declined to provide details.

In a statement released Friday, Microsoft said of the layoffs that they were committed to maintaining a professional and respectful work environment. For confidentiality and privacy reasons, we cannot provide specific details. It should be noted that this year Google also fired more than 50 employees for anti-Israel protests.

The layoffs come amid internal unrest and sit-ins at Google offices centered on Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion deal between Google and Amazon in 2021 to provide cloud computing and artificial intelligence services to the Israeli government. An agreement was signed for dollars.
