A man in Thailand was miraculously pulled out alive 3 days after falling into a dry well.
This shocking incident took place in Mae Sot, Tak province, Thailand. According to local police, a Chinese national had fallen into the dry well and his cries for help were mistaken by locals as the sound of a ghost.
Local police were informed by people on November 24 about strange sounds coming from the nearby forest. When police and rescue workers arrived in the forest to investigate the matter, they heard strange sounds.
While following the sounds, they discovered a Chinese man trapped inside a 12-meter-deep well in the forest. The operation to extract the man from the well lasted for 30 minutes.
The man was in a critical condition, with a broken left wrist and bruises all over his body. He was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Later, when the man was spoken to with the help of an interpreter, it was revealed that he was 22-year-old Liu Chunyi, who had been trapped in the well for 3 days without food or water.
To conserve his energy, he only shouted for help once an hour. But the locals were frightened by the sounds and did nothing to find out about him.
Liu Chunyi is now out of danger and rescue teams believe he got lost in the forest and fell into the well while trying to get out.
The well has been sealed off by authorities to prevent a similar incident from happening again in the future.
